As you already know, there is no untethered jailbreak available for iPad 2 on iOS 4.3.1, the Chronic Dev Team is working on Greenpois0n RC7 which will bring the untethered goodness to iPad 2. The untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 is based on an exploit found by iPhone security expert and hacker Stefan Esser, who demoed it on his iPod touch last week before handing it over to the Dev-Team. Once tested the iPhone dev-team released Redsn0w 0.9.6, PwnageTool 4.3 and Sn0wbreeze 2.5 using the same exploit. It has been made clear that Stefan Esser’s exploit does not work on iPad 2. We have also seen famous hacker, Comex’s exploit being patched. Our last hope is Chronic Dev Team.
