LOS ANGELES — Publisher Ubisoft showed off some gorgeous images and footage for upcoming action-adventure title Assassin’s Creed Revelations at its press conference Monday.
The last installment in what Ubisoft is calling the “Ezio Trilogy,” Revelations will bring back assassin Ezio Auditore, protagonist of Assassin’s Creed 2 and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. This time he’s fighting off the Knights Templar in the city of Constantinople. As the Revelations demo begins, Ezio is skulking through the city. He sees that the guards have erected a giant chain in the harbor to block off ships until they track him down — which is a problem, since he needs to hop on a ship right now. Slashing and stabbing his way through guards, Ezio makes his way to the harbor, where he sees the chain. He then whips out a bomb and plants it on one of the massive steel links at the end, destroying the whole monstrocity and paving the way for ships to exit.
Ezio then hops his way from ship to ship, fighting off Templars among chaos and fire. Eventually, he runs into a friendly ship captain.
“You are Ezio Auditore?” the man asks.
“Si,” Ezio says. “Sorry for the delay.”
The music swells as they take off, leaving nothing but flaming wreckage in their wake.
