HDR photos feature which is exclusively available on iPhone 4 on iOS 4.1 only can now be activated on iPod Touch 4G as well. We have shared step by step guides below to enable HDR Photo’s on iPod Touch 4G manually or install cydia App iPod Touch 4 HDR Enabler.

With iPod Touch 4 HDR Enabler tweak you can easily activate HDR (High dynamic range photos) functionality on jailbroken iPod Touch 4G. Just follow the steps listed below to enable HDR on iPod Touch 4G.

How To Enable HDR Photos On iPod Touch 4G (Automated):

Step 1:

Jailbreak your iPod Touch 4G iOS 4.1 using the guides linked below:

Step-2:

Start ‘Cydia’ on your jailbroken iPod Touch 4G springboard.

Step 3:

Select ‘Manage’ tab at the bottom of your iPhone screen and then select ‘Sources’.

Step 4:

Select ‘Edit’ and then select ‘Add’. Now enter a URL source. Type ‘apt.modmyi.com’and select on ‘Add Source’. Once Cydia has added the source click on ‘Return to Cydia’ button.

Step 5:

Once the installation is completed. Search for ‘iPod Touch 4 HDR Enabler’  in Cydia and install it.

Step 6:

Reboot your iPod Touch 4G.

If you prefer to enable HDR Photo’s manually on your iPod Touch 4G, just follow the steps listed below:

Step 1:

Jailbreak your iPod Touch 4G iOS 4.1 using the guides linked below:

Step 2:

Download the .plist file from here

Step 3:

SSH into your iPod Touch 4G and navigate to  / System / Library / CoreServices / SpringBoard.app

Step 4:

Copy the downloaded N81AP.plist overwriting the existing one. Do not forget to take back up the original .plist file.

Step 5:

Copy the file AVCapture.plist in the path / System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/N81, overwriting the existing one

Step 6:

Reboot your iPod Touch 4G.

That’s It! You now have HDR setting in the camera application of your iPod Touch 4G.
