JailbreakMe 3.0 is soon going to help jailbreak your iPad 2 on iOS 4.3 according to Comex. It was mentioned to be coming as soon as next weekend. Picture proof as well as a video demo of the jailbroken iPad 2 was linked just earlier. The iOS hacker is confirming that the exploit is fully functional and only requires a bit of time to package it into a working jailbreak tool according to a recent tweet: @comex does this mean jailbreakme 3.0 is out now since you just had jailbroken the new iPad 2? @GUnitJC No, it will take some work to package it into a jailbreak. Same deal as i0n1c. JailbreakMe is a browser based iOS firmware jailbreak – which makes it easier for many users to jailbreak their iOS device. It is as easy as browsing to http://jailbreakme.com from your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to jailbreak it. The userland jailbreak, JailbreakMe, can run on any device with both old and new bootroms too. Unlike previous methods, JailbreakMe works in a whole new way – which doesn’t require you to have any PC / Mac or cable but just simply an internet connection and the ability to navigate on Mobile Safari. Interestingly, Stefan Esser (aka i0n1c), has already declared that he too is working on releasing his untethered iOS 4.3 jailbreak for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch before next weekend. After both iOS hackers have announced the release of a jailbreak tool, it is likely one of them will save theirs as to have a working exploit that will work with the next version of iOS to try and stay one step ahead of Apple in the never-ending cat and mouse game.
