Apple hit the 1 billion download in Spring of 2009, so this has been some pretty impressive growth for number of apps downloaded.

Jobs said 200 apps

are being downloaded each second from the App Store. Additionally, the App store now has 250,000 apps, with 25,000 of these apps devoted to the iPad.
