TODAY’S PUZZLE:
You’re traveling east on the longest railway in the world, but you’ve been stuck for hours while they change the wheels on the train. Where are you?
YESTERDAY’S ANSWER (mouseover to see):
Search [world’s oldest living rainforest] to find the Daintree Rainforest in southern Australia. Search [world’s oldest living desert] to find the Namib Desert in Namibia, Africa. Using Google Maps, search for [Namib desert Namibia]. Using the right mouse button, click to check the latitude. Find that it’s between 19 and 22 degrees S latitude. Do the same for Daintree, Queensland. Find it’s between 15 and 19 degrees S latitude. Thus, Daintree is farther north and nearer to the equator.
