iPad 2 Jailbreak Possibly Just A Few Weeks Away
Jailbreakers are usually very impatient and to no surprise, the lack of a jailbreak for Apple’s iPad 2 is starting to make some fans a little antsy. Hopefully help will be at hand sooner rather than later. The folks over at CultofMac are reporting that an interview with some folks from MyGreatFest resulted in iPhone hacker, Joshua “p0sixninja” Hill mentioning that a working iPad 2 jailbreak could be released into the wild as soon as the next couple of weeks. The iPad 2 jailbreak is said to be using the same method as current hacks for older hardware, meaning that DFU mode will be the method used. It’s claimed that all firmwares beyond iOS 4.3 will also be supported by the jailbreak once it is released. If that turns out to be true, many iPad 2 users will probably be gleaming with joy. For those of you who don’t know, MyGreatFest is the world’s first iDevice jailbreak community gathering which is set to take place in London on September 17th. Another event is planned for the United States next year. P0sixninja is amongst the many to attend the event in London, others including Jay “Saurik” Freeman, the man behind the jailbreak store, Cydia, who is said to be giving a keynote this year. For those of you who are interested in attending, tickets for the event are available via the convention’s eStore and are priced at £27 for adults and £17 for children with group discounts also being available.
