LOS ANGELES -- E3 is the gamer's Mecca, a chance to get up close and personal with videogames that won't be out for months or years.

Every major game publisher sets up an elaborate booth on the E3 show floor, blaring lights, sound and booth babes galore to attract gamers' attention and get them to try their wares.
