Apple will be releasing iTunes 10.1 and OS X 10.6.5 today and iOS 4.2 final version for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch will be releasing on 12th November (Friday) as reported by sources. iOS 4.2 was due for release on last Tuesday but due to a bug it is delayed. German sites have also found some proof of pushing some carrier updates on November 12th along with iOS 4.2 release.

Apple fanatic blog 9to5Mac had also received scoops from two different German sites confirming about the final release date for iOS 4.2 which might be anytime between 9 to 12th of November 2010. According to Inside-Handy.de, iOS 4.2 will shed beta tag on November 9, while another site iFun is reported that Apple will be pushing carrier updates on November 12 following by iOS 4.2 release.

As for iOS 4.2, our source reports that it was actually due last Tuesday but a bug was found that did not display Japanese characters properly and forced Apple to fix it.

According to our source, AT&T staff is required to thoroughly test all Apple mobile devices that are intended to use their networks and test them in their intended environments that include using Macs with versions Apple deems necessary to properly fulfill new test products.

According to our source, 10.6.5 completed the certification stage a few hours ago and iTunes was ready 3 weeks ago – likely after the release of beta 2 to developers.
