When Eric Schmidt argued recently that online display advertising could become a $200 billion industry within the next decade, his words triggered thousands of bullshit detectors across the media industry.

Today, online display is worth a mere $17 billion globally. Relatively few publishers buy the story that Mr. Schmidt is selling.

Si mon smartphone pouvait faire le café

Dans mon attirail de technomade figure en bonne et due place mon iPhone. Oui, je suis un peu matérialiste sur les bords, j’aime la technologie – mais seulement quand ça m’est réellement utile. Et lui, on peut dire qu’il m’ait sauvé la mise plusieurs fois! Il m’a aidé à économiser un temps précieux, à me repérer dans un territoire inconnu, ou encore à accéder à des endroits particuliers lorsque j’étais en manque d’inspiration.
